In the article last week we saw the many activities that can be carried out in Monte Argentario, even outside the water. (For those who were lost here is the link to the blog).

Today we are going into detail with an event that will start in 48 hours:  Argentario Polo Club Season 2018.

Location & History

Born in 1987, the tournament is held in a breathtaking location, surrounded by the hills of Monte Argentario and with a splendid view towards the coast and the sea.

It is a stone’s throw from the 18-hole golf course next to the Argentario Golf Restort & Spa.

The club immediately confirmed itself as one of the reference points for the polo at an international level as well as being one of the most innovative clubs. Some of the most important names in this sport have played on this field: Gonzalo and Horacito Heguy, Alejandro (Piki) Diaz Alberti, Santiago Araya, David Sterling, Juan Martin Nero, Juan Jose Branè, Agustin Garcia Grossi, Alfio Marchini and Bartolomè Castagnola .

Among the important awards that recognize him as one of the best playgrounds in Europe, at the Argentario Polo Club we owe the first women’s tournament played in Italy, the first national junior tournament or the tournament dedicated to disabled peaple.

Season 2018

The 2018 season will begin on July 19th and will be divided into:

19th – 29th of July XXXI COPPA D’ORO MONTE ARGENTARIO

19th – 29th of July TORNEO JUNIOR, now in its 31st edition.

1st – 11th of August COPPA ITALIA F.I.S.E, ( italian cup ) an event of particular importance as it will be the 10th edition of the cup.

The entrance to view the tournaments is free. A great way to see another side of Monte Argentario.
